Quantified Self was an immersive and interactive performance that combined a narrative about the future of human identity in the face of big data and personalized interactive video elements.  The project was a collaboration between multiple researchers and artists from the theatre, dance, engineering, computer science and environmental design departments at CU Boulder.  The lead team members were awarded a highly competitive Media Innovation seed grant from the Knight foundation from an application pool of over twelve-hundred submissions.  The project used the combination of narrative, interactions and personalized information scraped from the audience members social media accounts to explore and question the ethics of data collection. The project  served as a first iteration in a continued development into a commercially viable production.
